Please be safe when using any Taxi and follow these rules:
It is safer to book your cab or Taxi directly from a company or an individual you trust.
All Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles carry identification or Licensing numbers at the front and rear of the vehicle, make sure they are visible, the driver must also be displaying his/her badge which will have a photo of the licensed driver along with his/her driver number and will be issued by Bristol City Council. If he/she does not have a badge visible do NOT get in the vehicle. If you have a complaint against a driver these details will help find out whom the driver is.
Only Taxis with the sign on the roof saying “TAXI” are legally licensed to be Flagged down on the streets, Private Hire Cars must be booked in advance. That is not to say that Private Hire cars are unsafe but just that they are licensed for a different purpose.
Let someone know or tell a friend that you are taking a Taxi home, maybe even ask them to give you a call to make sure you have arrived.
Lastly, if you are unsure about a Cab or Taxi don’t get in! wait until the next one arrives or why not call me!
